Yes, that is the printers likely Hostname.
The issue very much sounds like a duplicate IP address scenario (change the IP on the printer)
Default Xerox USer/pass would be admin and 1111

Hello spfaff.
If you have not already resolved this issue, we suggest you search our online knowledgebase for this product: FreeFlow Accxes Control.
Alternatively, you can visit our Contact Us page for other support options.
I'm pretty sure that the activation code is just to continue using Metered toner, as in , you won't be able to add another one. You should still be able to use the ones in it.
But when they run out, they will need to be replaced with the sold variants.
And yes, just the toner have the CRUM chips in them, drums and fuser do not.
I can't provide a 100% answer though, different scenarios in different regions with different devices, but I have yet to hear of one just stopping, though the messages will get annoying

Thanks Joe.
It was still leaving the options greyed out under settings when I added it as an IP printer. However, the CUPS option worked perfect. For anyone who didn't know what CUPS was like me. This is the guide that got me to the place of being able to select the options for this printer https://support.vendhq.com/hc/en-us/articles/205052024-Enabling-CUPS-Printer-Interface-for-Mac
Hi Joe, thanks for the response - I selected "Print using System Dialogue" as directed but the output is still a blank page.
I did some brief additional testing and found that Firefox (57.0.4) and Vivaldi (1.13.1008.40) behaved in the same way as Chrome, producing a preview image as expected but a blank sheet when printed.
However, if a PDF file was exported instead of printing directly, it could be printed from a PDF viewer normally. Likewise Internet Explorer (11.192.16299.0) could print the page. The page used for the above testing was the Google UK search page.
Thanks,
Rob
Hello all,
Im using a versant 80. Seem to be having issue with pinstripes of lighter colour, perhaps white deletions .....(the best way I can describe) in certain areas of solid colour.
Carried out a fuser clean with felt and paper and also cleaned the sensors with wand....
This didnt solve the issues so ran off tints of C M Y K and it was most noticeable in the Black. Decided to change the black drum ( even though it had only used 10%) printed another black tint out and no difference.
Would it be an issue with the dev tank and it needing to be changed?
Many thanks.
I suggest you call Xerox to have it sparred (sent to Engineering to have resolved)
I can replicate the issue only when using Chrome to open a pdf, but not with an actual webpage.
Xerox won't fix the pdf scenario, but if you can provide enough info for them to replicate your scenario, they should be able to fix it.
I have the same driver but very different printers, so it may be that the specific printer is required to replicate it.
Good morning
Any progress on this topic?
Got stuck at a customer, who uses an AltaLink C8030 with Xerox Standard Accounting. Since he got new Macs with High Sierra, he is not able to print on the Xerox out of various software.
- Office 2016 works
- Office 2011 don't work
- Safari don't work
- Adobe CC works
Any solutions on this topic? Since the issue exists by starting using 10.12, there should be at least a usable workaround..?
Regards
Sawwas Papanikolau

Hi. I've tried connecting my printer to the wireless network but it won't. I just changed my ISP and now the printer won't connect anymore. I see this error message: http://prntscr.com/i1o6ws
Please help.
I have new XEROX Altalink C8055 network thru TCP/IP connectivity. I have several WINDOWS 10 workstation connected to the Copier and all have already been installed with the PCL6 driver. My problem is that now the setup has been competed, they now want the copier to default to B/W print jobs, but still have the options to print color by manipulating the local Printer Preferences.
So, my question is, can the XEROX, thru Admin control, be changed to default to B/W. change the default on each workstaion without having me physically change the local Preference?
In order to create 2 different queues, did it require server share controls? I have mine setup for IP connectivity. Please let me know.
Thank You,
Ed
The Office 2016 example should not be happening,Office 2011 and safari are expected to not work, though by June 2018 Safari should begin to.
Xerox Features will show up only in 64bit apps if you have a 4.x or newer driver.
3.X will work fine, until you get to a printer that isn't supported by them (Devices that came with or after the 4.x did)
Mac OS X 10.8 is the first OS that required 64-bit hardware, and the last OS that will run 32-bit applications “without compromises” is macOS 10.13, with a requirement that all applications are 64-bit by June 2018. Apple had previously requested Xerox continue to produce 32/64-bit drivers until the release of 10.12 at which point we were allowed to remove 32-bit support. Xerox continued to support 32/64-bit applications until June 2017 when we released the new 4.x version of the print driver.
The v4.x driver is 64-bit only, supports macOS 10.11 through 10.13 and is the only macOS driver that will continue to add new printers. The most well-known application that is 32-bit is Microsoft Office 2011, which Microsoft officially ended support for in 2016.
To verify if the application in use is 32 bit perform the following steps:
1a. Select Go
3a. Select File
As a workaround you should be able to use the dropdown in the bottom left corner to open PDF preview and print using Xerox Features to print.
It also seems to work where you can create a preset with (the accounting information in it for instance) it outside of the 32 bit application, save it, and select it within the 32 bit app when printing. (This is by far the simplest method)
As for installing the 3.X driver:
You can grab the 3.123 driver from here, just ignore the model number, it is a Universal binary so it covers near all Xerox devices up to early 2017. (Please note, this does not include VersaLink or AltaLink, they require a 4.x driver)
But, you can't install it on a system that has the 4.X driver. First, you need to totally remove the 4.X.
To do that...
o Close any open printer queues in the Dock
o Close all open applications
o Print & Fax - remove Xerox printer objects (using the "-" button under the list of printers)
o Applications folder - remove Xerox folder (if present)
o Library/Applications Support - remove Xerox folder
o Library/ColorSync/Profiles - remove XRX* or other Xerox files if present
o Library/Image Capture/TWAIN Data Sources - remove Xerox printer packages
o Library/Printers - remove Xerox folder
o Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources - delete Xerox folders and files. Older OS's have multiple language subfolders, each of which may contain Xerox PPDs. If this is the case, the easiest thing to do is search the entire set of folders for the Xerox files, and delete en masse.
o Library/Receipts - remove any of the following: pde***.pkg, xpd***.pkg, ICC*, ICP*, ICC_Profiles, SSScan/Xerox (folder)
o Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/ - remove all com.xerox.* files
o Note: If your library folder is hidden, type this in a TERMINAL window (located in Utilities folder): > Chflags nohidden Library <enter>
o Also in Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/ - look for any com.apple.print.custompresets.forprinter.(yourXeroxPrinterName).plist files and delete them
o Users/[username]/Library/Caches/ - remove all XRXSetup* files (if present)
o Also in TERMINAL:
> cd /var/db/receipts/ <enter>
> ls <enter> - look to see if there are any com.xerox.* files. If so, delete with:
> sudo rm com.xerox.* <enter> (will prompt for admin password)
- Empty the MAC’s trash. If any files are being held, reboot and empty again.
- Reboot the Mac
The latest 4.x is now 4.12.0 and is here
It isn't actually 2 queues, it is the same printer using the same driver and even the same exact port on the PC, the only difference is you change the names when installing.
So like:
7225 color
7225 BW
Besides the names, nothing else is different, until you then go set the preferences in the BW one to use BW instead of color. Or any other change you want to add.
You can't 100% force a local installed driver to do anything without being local. There are things that can be done, none are guaranteed or simple.
You can simply set the default in EWS to be BW, but it only works in some drivers (typically the native, not Xerox Global, driver, ) and only if BiDi is up and running properly.
You can enable XSA (Xerox Standard Accounting) and make all jobs sent with no accounting code print in BW, then a user would need to type in a code to get the color feature to work, or it will just print BW and ignore the color, should work in any driver using any method, but it is an odd workflow.
Simplest method would be a print server, not a $2500 dollar behemoth, just a single office PC sharing a driver to everyone, most people can source an old Windows 7 PC out of a storage room for such a purpose, it doesn't even need a KB/Monitor or mouse, just use Windows remote desktop on the odd occasion you need to actually log into it.
There is no issue here.
The jobs are not there, they just show names in the history, when selected they show deleted because they were, nothing to see, now you have been notified (your job was killed by an internal admin) and all is well with the world.
If you are concerned about the names, disable the use of names in Secure Print.
If you are concerned about them being in the history, do a Secure Disk Image Overwrite
Thank You, Joe. It looks like I am NOT using the Native drivers. I made a similar change to the ALTALING, but seems to be uneffective. So, I only have about a dozen stations that needed to change, I Remoted into each and simply created a 2 nd queue for the users. Cahnge the DEFAULTS so, now the default to B&W and have the option to use 2nd queue for color...if needed.
Thank You again,
Eddie
No, you're wrong.
Maybe because you do not write so well in English you should not have noticed.
I have jobs protected in the print queue. and the machine has to be turned off, usually when it is turned on and if the option of not deleting the jobs when it is turned on is not selected the jobs remain in the print queue and can be printed, right?
in this case the works are done and when you give the print order, they will delete and disappear
You gave it to understand now.
