B215 - Not compatible toner Error 09-800, Hard Reset

I am having a serious problem with my B215 printer, I have tried 2 different new authentic toner cartridges from Xerox, and each one is deemed to be incompatible (09-800). I then reinserted the old toner cartridge which is now also not compatiable, strange considering it just printed out 1000 pages. 

I have reset the printer, and have updated the firmware, no luck.

I have fully reset the printer.

I have tried technical support, no luck

I dont know what else to do?? except never buying a xerox product again!!!!!

Thank you a million times! Without this PPD patch I would have either never found the solution or hours later. Such a  great job by davygrvy and all the sadder the reason for this great performance. I wonder if anyone at Xerox realizes how much damage is being done to the free world? I'd even rather Xerox just say there is no support for Linux. But delivering unfinished and horribly crashing software is much worse. Would be a shame, of course; because the printer works great: Good price, excellent print quality, fast and quiet printing, and that in color and duplex and with scanner and fax - everything everybody desires - only the Linux admin either gets totally frustrated, or spends many hours of Mickey Mouse work. And the original bug report is now nearly two years old. Nobody at Xerox to patch two lines, release the plain PPD and write a quick info for it? This is really very disappointing.

Hi Agusysole, 

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please double check that you have removed all the tape and packing material from the printer. Please check out the solutions for Blank pages especially the one to shake the toner. If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Stripes when printing

My Docuprint CM225 fw is printing a single 1cm wide vertical coloured stripe down the left hand side of the page. It does this also if I copy a blank page, using the built in scanner. I have cleaned the CDT sensors, cleaned the transfer belt, taken out the toner cartridges and cleaned the print heads, run the  CLEAN DEVELOPER in the maintenence menu, which sometimes improves the print but the stripe returns in a couple of prints. I have attached 2 photos of the printer problem. Does anyone know a fix for this problem?

Thanks for your Repky.

I did check that there was no tape and packing material, also i did shake the tonner as instructed in the product manual.

I have also raised the issue in the support centre, but sadly they were more interesting in questioning if i did register the product i bought 5 days ago or not and in analyzing the invoice they requested me to send and in requesting more data on my ID number etc, that was 3 days ago and im still waiting for someone to help me instead of drownining me in bureaucracy...

I think i have no option than returning the product and will think wisely if i change brands next.

I called the support. For this printer, I was supposed to use the 2nd number: 1-800-835-6100.

Anyway, apparently I'm not supposed to use Airprint, but to use the Generic Postscript driver when adding the printer in Preferences. Print previews will show as colour because it doesn't detect it's a black/white only printer.

Hello, did anyone reply to your inquiry. We would like to avoid having to enter credentials with each print job as well. We would also like to find out if we could print direct to the printer and have it print automatically. So far, Xerox has not indicated that this would be possible. We do it with an HP printer currently.

The Xerox Workplace Cloud Solution can support printing via email and have the prints auto-released (no need to login at the machine).     Each printer can be setup with a unique email address and set to "Allow Direct Email Print for Anonymous Users.

Hello Jeremy, you just may have made my month!!! Please tell me you or someone can get in touch with us or the sales person (M. David) who Xerox corporate put me in touch with to help trouble shoot our software/app/remote printing issue. M. David mdavid@xclbusiness.com. He still has not fully solved out remote print/auto release issues, but is workign on it, and we are willing to go any route to get that end result. Thank you for your input, and please let me know if you can put me in touch with someone at Xerox workplace Cloud Solutions, or put them in touch with M. David at XCL Business Technologies, Inc. t. 631-231-1456 ext. 315. so we can move ahead with your suggested solution.

There are some morons working at Xerox, and I wouldn't be afraid to tell them in person.

My solution is this:

1. I put a sugar sachet there :), but you can also use adhesive tape to seal the black element, the position of which I marked in the photo with a red oval (in the next post, because something this forum is going crazy).

2. Close the front tray and that's it. As a result, you cannot see that the tray is there. :)

3. The result: brainless work at Xerox.

Repeating defects on Versalink C9000 even after drum replacements

Hi,

Our Versalink C9000 has a repeating defect on A3 prints only. It lines up perfectly to every other Drum Cartridge marking point (38mm, 1.5in) on the Repeating Defects sheet. I have changed all 4 drum cartridges, transfer roller and belt cleaner with Xerox OEMs but the defect still occurs.

I believe the mark is a residue mark from an air duster (a staff member probably blew the printer insides out whilst it was still hot)

Does anyone have any ideas what to try next? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

VersaLink C7025 Printing onto Letterhead - ERP system and Word print on different sides

Hello

I have an issue with users who print onto Letterhead, the Letterhead paper is in Tray 2. 

We load the letterhead into Tray 2, back of letterhead facing you, top of letterhead towards back of tray.

This prints okay from the ERP System ie: Prints on the correct Letterhead side of the paper.

When printing from any other application, such as Word, it prints on the reverse of the letterhead, so we have to keep flipping the letterhead paper over in the tray each time. 

I have checked the printer driver settings, and all appears okay, and the same printer driver is used by the ERP system as well as Word. 

Any suggestions welcome.
