I would suggest that you review the following potential solutions.
Verify the machine has the latest firmware version from Xerox.com - OS 6.1 / PS 5.2.1 / Net 40.34.03.01.2010
Print the Configuration Page and check the current temp/humidity. Humidity lower than 25% will cause degradation of print quality.
The technology on this machine will not work properly if outside the specifications of temperature & humidity conditions.
