Fuji Xerox DocuCentre-III 2007 - Tray Missing

Hi,

 

Not really sure where to post this or if these are the correct forums. We have a Fuji Xerox DocuCentre-III 2007 we are trying to deploy with a group policy on Windows Server 2012 R2 over the network. The deployment works fine but the printer is not showing all the Printer Trays.

 

If we install the printer driver locally on the machine (Windows 7 32bit) we can see Tray 4 as shown below.

But if we install the exact same driver on the Server and deploy it we cannot see Tray 4.

We have tried several different drivers all with the same result.

 

Is there some configuration we are missing, what do we need to do to get Tray 4 to show up as individually installing the driver is not the solution we want.

 

Let me know if this is the wrong place for this stuff.

Outlook 2013 crashes when I do file-print command on WorkCentre3325.  Quick print works fine.  All other applications print ok.

We have the similar issue with WorkCentre 7225i. Don't know how to fix it.

It deffinately looks fusing related. Things that can cause the toner not to fuse are not enough heat or pressure or an oversaturated image. See if it is happening on 20lb paper. Is hit happening when copying from the glass?

We are using 20lb paper and it started fusing correctly when I set the paper to lightweight cardstock instead of plain paper. I tried replacing the black drum as directed by Xerox support and now it is stuck in Xerographic adjustments are progress and has been for over 18 hours and will not print or copy. I powered down and uplugged form power and it is still stuck in Xerographic adjustments. Does Xerox have a lemon clause for machines that have ghosts? I haven't checked the power to the machine so that is one thing I can check. Thanks for all the replies.

Sounds like you have a bad imaging unit. I would put the old one back in. Try the previous steps I listed for your original problem.

Xerox 7225 default black and white setting

Hello, 

 

I have a few of these 7225's and I would like the printer to automatically choose "black and white" as the default instead of color.

 

I have found other articles showing how to change the printer color settings locally on the computer through Devices & Settings > Printer Properties, but this is not a viable solution as people would likely turn color back on.

Xerox Tech came onsite and re-initialized the NVM to fix the fusing issue and also reseated the drums to clear the adjustments in progress error. Thanks for the help.

Hi mihaeta posea,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please remove the driver and reboot your computer.  The reinstall the driver.  If you can not get to the printing preferences or properties after the install and reboot it is an issue on that computer and you would need to contact the person that supports your computers.  Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

All pages are print on the same paper than cover - WC 7435 + pro finisher - Driver PS & GPD

Hi,

 

I have a problem when I want make booklet with cover (different paper weight) when I use the PS or GPD driver (not with PCL driver). All page are print on the covers papers dispite good setting in the driver (all pages are print on the 180g paper)

 

With PCL driver I don't have this problem, covers are print on 180g and interiors pages are print on 80g.

 

I must use the PCL driver but I prefer PS driver because there more colors settings.

 

Do you have an idea ?

 

Machine:

WorkCentre 7435 with built-in controller and professionnal finisher

 

Drivers versions test:

- GPD: 5.548.8.0N

- PS: 5.152.7.0

- PCL6: 6.159.7.2

 

Operating System:Windows Pro 64 bits

I'm back to let you know this is still not sorted. Colour is still very poor and the resolution also appears really bad. Images just arent very clear even when selecting high resolution.. When I'm comparing the printing to our other older printer (Xerox 7855) and it's looks dreadful.

 

What I have tried with both firmwares (new & old):

 

PCL5

PCL6

Post Script

Global Print Driver - PCL5, PCL6 & Postscript

Various Quality Changes on print settings. Standard and High.

 

With all the above drivers I have also tried print collaboration (multiple times) on the actual machine. For info the collaboration doesnt improve anything. I have also tried changing various quality settings on print menu, standard and high etc.

 

Surely I cant be the only one struggling with this, is this issue mark as resolved? or can anyone confirm it still being looked at?

yes, same situation here with all our customers , still verry bad , also with latest 25400 + pcl patch

even after calibrating

 

its a disaster

 

waiting for next firmware, should be october

We've got a new Altalink8070 and I'm trying to configure the Print From option to print stored jobs. I'm not sure how to upload documents into the public folder in order for people to print from.

Hi Cory,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. In the printing preferences please go to the advanced settings tab and make sure the tandem tray is enabled or selected as installed.  You have to tell the driver that the installable option has been installed for it to show as a choice on the driver.  If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
