Great - but all I get when I try that is: "The requested operation could not be processed"
I get that on mobile and desktop browsers...
Any ideas why - I can't imagine the printer needs to have internet access for the setting to take effect?!?
A user from one of our branch offices resported that when she prints for example 7 copies, the printer prints 7 sets of 7 copies = 49 copies. It happens to everyone and happens to any application.

Xerox Workcenter 7970 printer won't recognize that I've loaded custom size paper in the bypass tray even though I've specified the dimensions in the control center. The job status says "resources required" and then tells me to load the paper. But the paper is already loaded. I'm trying to print on a 4.5" x 11" document (green Scantron). I also have the document settings set up in Word to the corrent paper size. Printing from a Macbook Pro. Any thoughts?
It isn't nearly as updated as 100.xxx.097.100.xxx.097.25400_v3 is, it is a re-package of the original General release with some color fixes applied.

Got a screenshot of the error on the device? If it is asking for what is currently in the tray, it is almost always because of Stock type/color being wrong, or the wrong orientation, and the little warning screen actual shows which way it wants the page loaded.
You are going to need to look into what driver they are using and what horrible things have been done to it.
Even if you wanted it to do that, neither the printer, nor the driver is capable of printing X squared in the copies box.
In both cases you were turning on Booklet in the driver and the application (or the file itself is already in booklet format), there is no other way for that to happen.
I'm going to skip publisher because it is such a bad print program.
Assuming you have a document, in pdf format, that is Letter sized, and going on tabloid paper, and is one page per page as shown right here in the Acrobat window. (Must be auto, must show only one page in the preview)
Then go to Properties > Finishing > Booklet Creation (Do not set anything for sizes or duplex here)
Choose Booklet fold and staple, deselect Page borders , then click the Weird thingamajig
Choose exactly the highlighted entries and print the job
And that job will print properly, unless your job does not match mine, in which case, provide the file and I will explain yours (pdf, not pub, I'm not willing to use Publisher)

This would be a great resolution, however, the people that are printing are brokers and will need to print to color sometimes as well. At this point, I assume I am going to have to remote into every single employee's computer and change their default printer settings..over 100 people. :|
What we do at my place is setup two print queus for each copier. One defaults to B&W only and we designate that by putting a "-BW" at the end of the printer name. So we tell our users to use that if they want to print in black and white. Then we set up a second queue that we designate "-Color" and allow color printing to it. This way when the user wants to print in color they can select that printer and it'll allow them to print in color. We've had success with this as sometimes users don't realize what they're printing has color in it and if their accounting code only allows BW then printing to the BW queue converts the doc to BW and doesn't print out an error page instead.
Alternatively you should be able to set the BW/Color option on the print server if you only want one print queue. If you right click the printer you should be able to select "Set Printing Defaults..." and change any options there that would propgate down. You may need to set these again in a different section. Right click and select Properties... on the printer and then on the advanced tab there's a "Printing Defaults..." button. I've had issues where both had to be set before users started to see the changes. Thanks, I didn't realize it was a "Job Type" that you used instead of uploading documents to the printer.
I've got a Workcenter 7232 which was working fine up until recently. There was a bad Magenta cartridge which was leaking. I can see Magenta toner spilled on the inside once I remove the cartridges. The other cartridges have a coating of magenta over them at the end that goes in to the copier.
The black and white prints are fine. There is no issues with them. But when I print color the colors are off and there is a consistent diaganol streaking in magenta over the print as you see in the photos.
The other issue is that the Waste Toner cartridge is full and the printer is showing that the drum needs to be replaced.
My question is would just replacing the Waste Toner and drum fix this issue? Bring the color prints back to normal?
OR
Should I get the toner spilled inside professionally cleaned (vacuumed?) and then replace the waste toner and drum?
I just do not know how to approach this. Any input would be really appreciated. Thank you

Would you please provide some hints on how to configure default B&W from Registry Editor in Windows 7 platform ? For dealing with switching a bunch of Windows 7 clients from Color to B&W via Group Policy instead of on-site manual modification.
