WC3655 USB Connection Mode
I have several WC3655s that are connected both ethernet as well as USB, the USB connection mode by default is set to "software tools" the print jobs do not go, when we set it to "direct printing via driver" it works with no issues, the problem is it keeps defaulting back to "software tools". How can i get this to stay on "direct printing via driver"
Versant 80 - print on mixed paper sizes
Hi,
We are using a Versant 80 with Ex-i DFE printing from a Win 10 computer.
We have a 600 pages PDF file with 3 different paper size pages: A4, A3 and Letter and we are printing from Adobe Reader.
We send this print job checking "choose paper source by PDF page size" and we have no problem printing A4 and A3 pages but when it comes to Letter pages within the PDF file it stops and asks for this type of paper.
I remember that on Xerox printers there's an option to tell the printer to print US paper sizes on similar paper size but I cannot find it anywhere on V80! We have already search the knowledge base on xerox.com, Sys Admin and User Guide.
How can I set this option knowing that I cannot edit Letter pages size within this PDF file?
Thank you
Karina
Xerox 7232 Looking for Service Manual !
Can anyone help me out? I am looking for service manual for the Xerox Workcenter 7232.
Please let me know. Thanks
Re: Xerox Workcenter 7232 - Streaking - Toner leakage - How to fix?
Hi Fiery, Thank you for the suggestion regarding the Magenta developer housing and developer. I read online and seems like it is a common issue with the 7232. I am trying to scout a service manual for this machine and scope out the details of the job.
I did contact a local repairman, sent him the photos that are attached above as well. According to him there is something called the 'Spiral' which is broken which is causing the toner to spread. And, he said that the spiral alongwith the 'hopper' assembly will need changed. I have no clue what those are and I tried to google them but didn't find any leads. Have you heard of them? Do you think he's got a clue about what he is saying?

Re: How to create a print queue?
Hey there, thank you for your response! It sounds like it's exactly what I am looking for. Quick recap though,
So essentially all I need to do is add two printers to the on-site IT computer(never shuts down) and install the Xerox drivers into each, one with color as the default option and the other with b&w as the default option & then I can share the newly created printer on the IT computer over the network for other people to select and print from, correct?
One question though, if I have employee's that are using various operating systems from Windows 7 up to 10 as well as a couple Mac devices-- would they still be able to print from the printers I shared from the IT computer?
Thanks for all of the help!
Re: How to create a print queue?
Windows 7-10 both use the same drivers, so go with the Xerox Global print Driver PS.
Once installed, you will likely need to add the other architecture, because some PC's will be 64 bit and some 32 bit.
To do that you right-click the printer on the server and go to Printer Properties > Sharing > Additional Drivers and check the other box (either x64 or x86, you will safely be able to skip Itanium)
Mac OSX on the other hand is much more work, you will need to install them locally on each Mac, name them like in Windows, and then enable CUPS and set the preference for color and BW in there. To do so, just open terminal and type
cupsctl WebInterface=yes then in a web browser go to 127.0.0.1:631
Select Printers at the upper right, then the queue for the installed printer on the left
Select Set Default Options from the dropdown
Then select PaperOutput and change Xerox Black and White to enabled
Re: Xerox 7232 Looking for Service Manual !
They are not free and you need to have training from Xerox in order to gain access to them officially, so you won't/can't get one here, if it was posted here, the admins would be required to remove any reference.
Google is your friend : "Xerox 7232 Service Manual"

Re: ColorQube 9302 missing tray options
Hi glensmith1337,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Are the drivers loaded locally at the PC? If so remove the driver, reboot the PC and reinstall the driver making sure that it is the one for the correct operating system. Follow the instructions to make sure the Installable Options which include tray four have been setup in the driver. If this does not help please consider contacting your local support centre again.
Re: Printing to WorkCenter 7835 from Linux w/ AMD architecture?
Hi tzcrawford,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the instructions for loading the driver and make sure you have installed properly. Also check the System Admin Guide regarding more information on using the printer with Linux. If the problem continues please consider contacting your local support centre.
Re: Xerox Workcenter 7232 - Streaking - Toner leakage - How to fix?
I would find a new guy.
Re: Versant 80 - print on mixed paper sizes
Great! Thank you, it worked!
To make it work then I had only to select in Acrobat Reader "Actual Size" and again "choose paper source by PDF size".

Random White Streaks from Phaser 7500 DT
We are expeirencing random white squiggles on tabloid and legal size paper only.
A4 does nto seem to have the issue. When taking the tabloid out of tray 3, and feeding some into tray 1 I get the same result.
Roller was ruled out because the streaks are not straight lines, and because they are placed randomly on the page.
It is the imaging unit or the fuser?
One tech said it might be caused by the printer not being level. It is off about 2 inches, which is being fixed, but I am sceptical it will fix this issue.
Does anyone know what could cause this?
Any insight would be greatly appreceated!
Thank you!
Re: [WorkCentre 7845i] To configure default B&W via Registry Editor on Windows 7 ?
Dear Joe,
Many thanks for your reply, will check this up.
Kind regards,

Re: Random White Streaks from Phaser 7500 DT
I am pretty sure this is the fuser. There is a loud crinkleing/crackling sound as the paper passes through the Fuser when the problem is at its worst.
We installed a new fuser in the summer as the printer said it was near due for replacement.
I am going to remove the new one and put the old one back in and run a test.
WorkCentre 6655 and IBM AS400 iSeries not talking
We got a WorkCentre 6655, not a 6655i (this was a free replacement as our Phaser 8560 died so we didn't have a choice of model.) The printer works fine except will not print from the AS400 (iSeries). We keep getting the message "operator action required on device devname (c r)" on the AS400. While searching for a solution, I came across http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1019526 titled "Information on Printers from Xerox and Fuji Xerox". Within it, it is stated "This document contains information on the capabilities that are supported on printer hardware from Xerox." and "Most PCL printers use port 9100 and regardless of the hardware, a PCL Manufacturer Type and Model, such as *HP4, *HP5SI, *HP4000, etc. will work." I stopped the printer, varied it off, changed the type and model to *HP4, varied it on, started it and we still get the error. I rebooted the printer after this change, too, and that did not help either. Has anyone else run into this and have any suggestions?
